Alaska

We raised Alaska from a puppy; she is super mellow and sweet. She is 65lbs. The moment you pet her she is a happy wiggle worm and likes to spin in circles. She is the first to greet you! She loves running with the dogs during fetch though she'd rather stop and smell the roses than play ball. She is definitely a couch potato and loves to snuggle. We refer to her color as white, the AKC considers it to be the lightest shade of yellow, also called cream, so we use the terms interchangeably.

Alaska's parents were as beautifully colored as she is, both of her parents had their hips and elbows tested through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals and both received normal elbows and good/fair hips. Alaska had her hips tested and rated as good, and her preliminary elbows done as normal. Alaska has been genetically tested and carries EIC, because of this we choose to pair her with Odin, who does not carry the gene, meaning neither Alaska nor her puppies are affected by it. Genetics can be confusing, so we are happy to discuss further!

She has produced amazing puppies with duality, the families that hunt have wonderful retrievers and the families that don't have great couch potato companions!
